Though Macaron Batters are sometimes flavored with chocoate or citrus zests, most often their unique flavors come from the imaginative fillings sandwiched between the cookies themselves. The most common macaron fillings are Ganache, Buttercreams, Confitures, Caramel and Ice Cream.
